Our Supported Living program assists adults in living independently and provides opportunities for them to shape the direction of their lives.
At Missouri MENTOR, we believe that a home is more than a house; it’s where we grow and develop lasting relationships with the people we call family. In our Group Homes, we help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live as independently as possible in the communities of their choice.
Each home is unique, with a range of amenities including:
- Spacious rooms
- Comfortable furniture
- Sparkling kitchens
- Personalized bedrooms
- Modern and accessible bathrooms
Personalized Service & Support
In this residential program, we provide a variety of support and service options designed around the needs and interests of the individuals in each home—ranging from 24/7 in-home support or hourly assistance with planned activities.
Because of our flexible, person-centered approach, we provide all individuals in our Group Homes with a level of care designed to help them thrive and feel at home. Our support services may include assistance with:
- Personal hygiene
- Cooking and housekeeping
- Coordination of transportation
- Social skills development
- Financial management
- Accessing community resources and events
Individualized Service Planning
When someone is ready to move into a Group Home, we take the time to understand what they enjoy and what makes them unique. Our homes are staffed with Direct Support Professionals and other human services staff who develop Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) to help each individual reach new milestones.
Some of our group homes also serve teenagers and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We make sure that these individuals move into homes that are suited for their unique needs and do our best to match them with other teenagers or adults who are closer to their age and have similar interests.
